Why we make it this way.

Most convenient diya battis in the market are wax-based — they burn, but they are not ghee. Swarnadeep is genuinely cow-ghee, shaped around a cotton wick. Drop one into any brass or clay diya, light the wick, and you have a proper ghee diya without preparing anything.

The hundred-piece box is chosen deliberately — that is approximately three months of daily evening puja for one household.
